Lancaster ISD Special Education and Special Programs Department to host its first 2016-17 Strengthening Families Event

On Thursday, November 17th, the Lancaster ISD Special Education and Special Programs Department invites all parents in our community to participate in the first Strengthening Families event for the school year.
Everyone is welcomed to attend and gain information on the following session topics: Emotional Disturbance/Other Health Impaired and ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Digital Technology.

Lancaster ISD celebrates Hispanic Heritage and Culture with Academic Bowl

Lancaster ISD will hold its 3rd Hispanic Heritage Academic Bowl and Cultural Celebration on Saturday, October 29 from 9 AM to 3 PM at Lancaster High School located at 200 East Wintergreen Road in Lancaster, Texas. This event will highlight great Hispanic cultural leaders throughout history and will have teams of students from each district campus facing off in an academic competition for the grand prize trophy and a chance to win a seat on the annual U.S. History tour. New this year, the event will kick off its opening ceremony with guest speaker and education consultant Elda Rojas. Also, there will be traditional cultural dances and an art contest featuring the artwork of 63 students.

A Message for Parents: View Report Cards Online- Sign Up for Parent Self-Serve

We would like to invite you to sign up for the Lancaster Independent School District Parent Self Serve Portal for 2016-2017 school year. Parent self-serve portal can be accessed via computer as well through the TEAMS mobile app. These tools are valuable and will allow you to foster a two-way communication with your child’s teacher, have 24 /7 access to your child’s grades, and receive an alert of failing grades. It also removes your worry about lost report cards that never make it home.

Join us for Lancaster ISD IHOP Day- September 27

September 27 is Lancaster ISD Day at the IHOP Restaurant located at 790 North I-35 in Lancaster. You and your family are invited to dine with us from 4pm to8pm. During this time, a percentage of the proceeds from your purchase will be donated back to Lancaster ISD’s Attendance Rocks Program to fund the incentive and rewards initiatives. We will have local radio station staff onsite, so please stop by and enjoy a great meal that will help promote school attendance. We can’t wait to see you there.
