LinkEd - Lancaster ISD Newsletter - November 2018

The month of October brought some great opportunities for community, student and parent engagement. We celebrated homecoming, held various campus fall festivals and learned about fire safety amid our normal classroom learning.



The Lancaster ISD Communications Department released a new quarterly digital and printed publication titled, We Believe that will share the great happenings in Lancaster ISD.



Additionally, Superintendent of Schools Elijah Granger shared the state of Lancaster ISD Schools with the business community.

Lancaster High School Homecoming Parade, Community Pep Rally, Bonfire

Enjoy the tradition of the Lancaster High School Tigers at the Lancaster I.S.D. LHS Homecoming Parade, Community Pep Rally and Bonfire events. This year, the parade will start at the Town Square at 5:00 p.m. and continue to the stadium!

The community pep rally will begin immediately after parade at the Beverly D. Humphrey Tiger Stadium. Enjoy food, performances and games. Also, see the Sweethearts and Beaus ceremony.
The bonfire will start at the conclusion of the pep rally behind the indoor facility.

Lancaster ISD Celebrating its 9th Annual College Go Get It Week

The 9th Annual College Go Get It Week for the Lancaster Independent School District will be September 17-21, 2018. While each campus in the district is responsible for developing its own daily schedule of activities, the week will be devoted to giving all students the opportunity to learn about post-secondary educational opportunities including colleges and universities, military opportunities, and careers in technical education. Information will be disseminated to encourage and motivate students to dream big dreams with the understanding that they can become anything they desire if they work hard with intentional planning for their own success.

Lancaster ISD Campuses Met Standard & Earn 30 Academic Distinctions from the Texas Education Agency

The 2018 accountability scores were calculated from tests students took in December, March and May of the 2017-2018 school year. The district received 30 TEA Academic Distinctions—more than any school district or charter school in the Best Southwest area. Every Lancaster ISD school received an academic distinction with seven of the nine rated campuses receiving two or more distinctions.
